A drawing of several fighting bulls in a pasture beneath the canopy of a holm oak, rendered in a concise and confident graphic style. The animals’ volume is built up with lines and shading, while the central tree organizes the composition and provides spatial depth. The economy of means and the precision of the lines convey the monumentality of the bulls and the open character of the landscape, in keeping with the tradition of 20th-century Spanish drawing.
