16th-Century Italian School - Saint Joseph with the Child Oil on canvas. This imposing work from the 16th-century Italian School depicts St. Joseph with the Child, a composition that captures the protective and loving nature of the patron saint of carpenters. The central scene stands out for the way St. Joseph holds the Child, surrounded by cherubs that frame this fatherly interaction. The light is focused on the main figures, creating a chiaroscuro effect that emphasizes the spirituality of the moment, while the warm tones and vibrant details in the clothing reinforce the majesty of the scene. In the background, a depiction of the Virgin Mary in a contemplative pose can be seen, immersed in a serene setting of gentle landscapes. The frame, richly decorated with gilded elements, underscores the importance of the work and places it within the Mannerist tradition of its time. Dimensions: 154 x 122 cm (with frame), 125 x 83 cm (without frame). Located in an international warehouse. Item is in an international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required.
