Mirror with a carved and gilded wooden console – French School – 19th century Decorative set consisting of a large rectangular mirror with a carved and gilded wooden frame and a console table with a sinuous front. The mirror features an openwork upper finial composed of an oval medallion depicting a feminine profile, surrounded by floral garlands, leaves, and ribbons, and flanked by ornamental finials. The frame incorporates moldings of classical inspiration and carved plant motifs. The console table has a red fabric-covered top, a front decorated with acanthus motifs and a central medallion, four turned legs, and a lower crossbar with a suspended ornamental element. The set reflects French decorative styles inspired by Louis XVI. Overall dimensions: 271 × 136 × 31 cm.
