Picador on horseback facing a bull – Spanish School – 20th century A bronze bullfighting sculpture group with a dark patina depicts the confrontation between a bull and a picador on horseback. The horse rears up on its hind legs as the bull charges from the front, creating a dynamic and tense composition. The naturalistic rendering of the animals’ musculature, the horse’s tack, and the rider’s attire is particularly noteworthy. The group rests on an oval base with an irregular surface and a perimeter molding, mounted on a dark marble plinth. Small plaques or marks are present on the base. Dimensions: 51 × 48 × 30 cm.
