Allegorical female figure with a flowing cloth – European School, Art Nouveau style – late 19th and early 20th century A sculpture in the round, carved from alabaster, with polished surfaces and chiseled details. It depicts a partially nude young woman, her head bowed and her hair styled in an elaborate updo, one hand by her face and the other resting on a rocky element. A draped fabric partially covers her hips and falls diagonally. The sinuous composition contrasts the smooth finish of the flesh tones with the texture of the rocky base. Dimensions: 93 × 33 × 29 cm.
