Pietà – Spanish School – 18th Century Oil on panel. Depiction of the dead Christ, lying on a white shroud and supported by the Virgin Mary, accompanied by mourning figures. The composition presents Christ’s body in the foreground, with striking contrasts of light and shadow, while the figures are grouped around him against a background of architecture and vegetation. Gilded and polychrome wooden frame, described in the lot documentation as contemporary. Dimensions of the work: 82 × 63 cm. Dimensions with frame: 94 × 74 cm.
