Portraiture based on early Flemish models – 19th–20th century Oil on canvas depicting a male bust portrait, shown in a three-quarter view and gazing directly at the viewer. The figure has dark hair, a mustache, and historically inspired clothing consisting of a black garment with a wide white ruff and rich gold lace ornamentation on the shoulders and chest. The figure stands out against a dark, brownish background, with the light concentrated on the face and neck. The inscription “López” is visible in the lower right corner of the composition and is also reproduced on the reverse. The painting shows minor losses and visible surface alterations. Dimensions: 81 × 66 cm.
