Important round bowl of white Chinese porcelain, 19th century Important round white porcelain bowl decorated with cobalt blue underglaze. It has slightly flared sides, a thickened rim, and a flat, unglazed base. It features sinuous, five-clawed dragons amidst stylized clouds and sacred flames, rendered in cobalt blue underglaze. A continuous frieze of spirals with an archaic influence runs along the top. The unglazed base, with distinct concentric wheel-thrown marks, attests to its manufacture using traditional techniques.
