Early 20th century Polychrome glazed porcelain balustraded vase of the Rose family, decorated with a seated lady in a garden, holding a book, accompanied by butterflies and stylized plant motifs. The flared neck is adorned with geometric friezes and decorative motifs painted in black. Black fillets adorn the neck and base. An apocryphal Qianlong hallmark in red is located beneath the base.
