Large English or Dutch bronze brazier or vase from the 17th–18th century Large oval copper bowl mounted on four bronze legs shaped like lion’s claws, late 17th century—The bowl is made of hand-hammered copper and features a wide, elegantly finished, wavy rim. The firmly riveted and molded legs display realistic modeling characteristic of 19th-century ornamental pieces, inspired by the Empire style or the late Louis XVI style. The interior shows signs of use and hammering, while the leg rivets are visible on the underside, consistent with the artisanal manufacturing methods of the period. Beautiful original patina. The combination of fine and decorative materials suggests a piece intended for reception tables, which could also be used as a bottle cooler or a large centerpiece. 28 x 58 x 52 cm. Item located in an international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required.
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
