Tripod incense burner, Qing dynasty, made of Chinese bronze—19th century A "DING"-type tripod incense burner with a flattened globular shape, decorated with taotie masks and supported by three curved legs topped with stylized bat motifs. The body features bas-relief zoomorphic masks of the “taotie” type, inspired by archaic ritual bronzes from the Shang and Zhou dynasties. Two rectangular vertical handles protrude above the rim, evoking the traditional forms of “ding” ritual vessels. The base bears a hallmark with Chinese characters, possibly apocryphal or a workshop mark. Made of homogeneous cast bronze with a uniform patina. In good overall condition, with surface wear and slight patina irregularities consistent with its age. No significant structural damage is observed. Measures approximately 25 cm in diameter. Lot located in an international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required.
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
