Abdellaziz Ladhari (Tunisian, born in 1956) "My Mother's Hold," 2002 Oil on canvas. Signed and dated, titled on the back, and inscribed. Height: 65, Width: 56 cm. Provenance: collection of Laurent Danchin (1946–2017), writer, essayist, and art critic, passed down through the family. Born in M'Saken, Tunisia, and having settled in France at the age of seventeen, Ladhari worked in various professions before devoting himself entirely to painting in 1998, depicting inner worlds populated by characters with specific roles.
