Pierre Ledda (French, 1914–1994) Promenade, 1982 Plywood. Signed, titled, and dated on the back. Height: 81, Width: 100 cm. Baguette frame. Provenance: - Leclere auction, “Arts Bruts Arts Singuliers,” Marseille, December 3, 2011. - Collection of Laurent Danchin (1946–2017), writer, essayist, and art critic, passed down through the family. Born in Marseille, a ship repair worker, Ledda did not begin sculpting and painting until he was forty; self-taught, he developed an art brut style consisting of painted compositions and sculptures.
