457 - YOUNG BEFORT. A BEAUTIFUL NAPOLEON III-STYLE COFFEE TABLE IN THE LOUIS XIV STYLE, made of blackened wood veneer, brown tortoiseshell, and marquetry inspired by the Berain style. It opens with two doors. Rich bronze ornamentation depicting winter and summer through two figures positioned in the center of the doors. Framed by ovals, acanthus leaves, and stylized elements. It is topped with a black marble slab. Stamped on the back of the piece. Date: second half of the 19th century. L. 123 W. 42 H. 112. (Sold by description).
