AN ATTRACTIVE SAILOR'S HALF MODEL FOR A THREE-MASTED SHIP, CIRCA 1880 the 18in. hull carved from the solid and finished in polychrome with simulated gun ports, plain deck with simple wooden fittings, ship's boats and cutaway masts, mounted on a painted backboard depicted off a lightship with pilot cutter No. 5 approaching -- 8 x 25in. (20 x 63.5cm.) Original condition with marks commensurate with age, witness mark for capstan and binnacle.
