396 - Neo-Gothic or Regency-style (George IV, circa 1820–1830) drop-leaf secretary desk, the upper section opens via two glass-paned doors with muntin bars and pointed arches; the central section features a large drawer forming a leather-upholstered drop-leaf writing desk that opens onto a set of small drawers. The lower section is a storage cabinet decorated with marquetry depicting vases and garlands, featuring an interior zinc compartment serving as a bottle cooler. Some chips in the marquetry; a chip on the right side; one tile is missing. 124 x 56 x 240 cm.
