The muse, dressed in ancient style and wearing a crown of stars, leans on a bookcase adorned with a bust of Homer and griffins, and topped with scientific instruments, holding a book in her hand. Opposite her, a guilloché column supports an armillary sphere. Rectangular base adorned with an Athenian figure framed by columns, connected by drapery.
