Date: c. 1851 Description: On a seashore with striking rock formations, a few elves gather at night for a merry dance. The female figures, covered only by thin cloth veils, move in an erotic dance over the water. Keywords: 19th century, Romanticism, Fashion, Germany, Size: Paper: 22.8 cm x 28.1 cm (9 x 11.1 in), Image: 18.6 cm x 22.7 cm (7.3 x 8.9 in) Condition: Good condition. Pale foxing is visible in isolated spots. There are slight bumps and creases along the edges. There is slight damage along the upper edge of the sheet, presumably from the page being detached from a book binding.
