Standing on a road, he looks out into the distance towards a castle. In the foreground a farmer with his horse is pasturing a field. The drawing is from a collection of history and saga depictions with Nordic scenes and themes from the hand of the Danish artist Rondahl, who made a name for himself especially as a draughtsman. He provided the designs for numerous historical, archaeological and literary writings. Keywords: 19th century, Romanticism, Landscape, Denmark, Size: Paper: 11,3 cm x 19,2 cm (4,4 x 7,6 in) Condition: Good condition. The sheet is discolored due to its age. The left edge of the sheet is slightly damaged by the detachment from a book binding.
