From a scrapbook with travel sketches by the artist. "Esquisses faites par le Baron Edmond de Bretenières feudant les voyages en Suisse" (Sketches made by Baron Edmond de Bretenieres during his travels in Switzerland). Keywords: 19th century, Romanticism, Landscape, Switzerland, Size: Paper: 31,0 cm x 23,7 cm (12,2 x 9,3 in) Condition: Rather good condition. The paper is discolored due to its age. Corners of the sheet clearly wavy due to mounting on the back. Vertical trace of liquid in the center. Faint light damages in the image as well as partly clear liquid stains with browned margins. Left center minimally bumped.
