Ettore Forti (Italian, 1850-1940) The Jewelry Store oil on canvas signed E Forti (lower right) 12 x 19 3/4 in. (30.5 x 50.2 cm) Property of a California Collector This lot is located in Philadelphia. Framed: 16 3/4 x 24 7/8 in. Canvas is unlined. Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust. A faint stretcher bar line and slight distortion along the upper right edge, as well as a very slight distortion to the canvas along the center right. A small area of inpainting in the upper center, within the building wall in the background. Under UV light: the aforementioned area of inpainting fluoresces. No other apparent inpainting is visible. Additional images available upon request. Provenance: Hampel Fine Art Auctions, Munich, sale of September 23, 2021, Lot 635. Acquired from the above sale by the present owner.
