Willem Koekkoek (Dutch, 1839-1895) Dutch Town Scene with Street Vendor oil on panel signed W Koekkoek (lower right) 13 3/4 x 11 in. (34.9 x 17.9 cm) This lot is located in Philadelphia. Framed: 20 x 17 in. ?Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; very fine, hairline craquelures scattered throughout, visible mostly only under raking light; two very faint scuff marks to the varnish in the upper center; one pinpoint blue paint droplet each along the lower right edge and lower left corner; under a highly reflective, glossy varnish. Under UV light: two very minor instance of inpainting along the upper edge; a small area of very thin strokes of inpainting in the lower left corner; the thick varnish prohibits viewing of any additional inpainting that may be present.
