Paris, Veuve Duchesne, 1766. 6 vols.: 370 pp. - 336 pp. - x-374 pp. - 235 pp. - 239–139 pp. - 487 pp. (with a slightly different title: Historical Essays on Paris and Other Works by Monsieur de Saint Foix on the Customs of This Capital). Portrait on the frontispiece of vol. 1. Slight scuffing. Fourth edition published in Paris, revised, corrected, and expanded. A famous and important history of Paris, which greatly amused contemporaries as it offers a very vivid picture of the customs and practices of the time. The first edition of this series appeared in 1754–1757, and it went through five editions by the end of the Ancien Régime. A fine copy.
