Contemporary binding. 5 vols.: V-280 pp. - 272 pp. - 280 pp. - 262 pp. - 284 pp. Some cap edges are missing. Fourth edition “addressed to London” (a fourth edition addressed to Paris was published the previous year), revised, corrected, and expanded, of this work, which was well-regarded in Paris. The first two volumes combine observations on Parisian monuments, history, and customs. The third is devoted to the Hundred Years’ War, while the fourth and fifth volumes bring together various anecdotes and reflections on history. A fine copy.
