An Efficiency Medal with ‘Territorial’ sub title (GVR issue) named to: 2559861 Cpl W Bradley R Signals, who had wartime service with the Royal Artillery. William Bradley served in the Royal Signals Territorial Army from the mid 1920s and received his Efficiency Medal after 12 years’ service. He later transferred to the Royal Artillery and served with 26th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery (26th LAA Regt), which was a part-time unit of Britain's Territorial Army (TA) formed in Derby (Derbyshire) just before the outbreak of World War II. The regiment served during the initial stages of the war, took part in the later North African Campaign and eventually the Italian Campaign. The regiment was placed in suspended animation at the end of the war, until they were reformed in 1947 as the 526 LAA Regt RA TA, and finally disbanded in 1954. His WW2 MIC indicates that Bradley reached the rank of Battery Sergeant Major (BSM) but did not serve in North Africa or Italy, but entered the NWE theatre briefly before the end of the war (being entitled to the France and Germany Star). It appears that he was still serving in 1947. With copy WW2 MIC. Extremely Fine (EF) condition.
