Offering dish Made of brass. Circular in shape with a bowl-like base. Features a central depiction of the Annunciation, with the dove of the Holy Spirit, radiant and towering over the scene depicting the Virgin and the angel; the entire design is executed in repoussé. Very fragmentary remains of inscriptions in Gothic script surrounding the scene. Germany, Nuremberg, 17th century Diameter: 30.5 cm SSE Wear on the decoration, damage to the rim, and a tin-soldered suspension ring on the reverse.
