* Terrine Made of glazed terracotta with an ochre base covering the entire body. Heart-shaped with a scalloped rim and flat bottom, featuring a button-shaped handle on the front and a scalloped, fluted handle on the back. A form-fitting, recessed lid with two button-shaped handles. Decorated with stamped floral motifs within circles (flowers, palm leaves, flowering branches with foliage, and fleurs-de-lis). Between the two handles, it bears the inscription “EPERNAY” in a cartouche underlined by a pattern of small squares. The rims are embellished with decorative friezes imitating passementerie. Epernay, late 18th century Damage. A chip with a missing piece that has been taped back on with adhesive tape. A hole in the bottom of the container.
