* “Think of Me” Gouache on paper. Depicts a military scene set in a landscape and framed by two trees, featuring a dragoon perched on his horse, saber drawn. He is accompanied by two other soldiers and a mess sergeant, who has poured a drink for one of them. Hidden within a large military trophy—which indicates that this is the 10th Dragoon Regiment—is a small romantic rebus: “Think of Me.” Dedicated to “Adre Clairin” (Alexandre). SBD and G on the stamps: “Mrs. Liegey, Watchmaker in Lunéville” with the notes (sic) “PIENTRE// THE 6th of 9bre// 1855” (9bre for November).
