* Wedding chest Made of beech and polychrome softwood, with metal hardware. Rectangular in shape, with a domed lid. It is decorated with a rosebush sprouting from the ground, bearing beautiful, fully bloomed roses. On the front, a potted rosebush is painted between two plants with blue flowers. Both sides are also decorated with potted rosebushes bearing blooms. The interior is lined with plain paper. It features two latches, metal hinges, and a keyhole without a lock. 19th century H: 25 cm - W: 46.5 cm - D: 29.5 cm Repainted over the original background, which has been scraped away, and the decoration is altered throughout the piece. Yellow stain on the inside and minor imperfections.
