On a rectangular bronze base with a rounded projection. After the ancient marble sculpture 'Diane de Gabies' or 'Diana of Gabii', housed in the Musée du Louvre, Paris. Executed using the mechanical reduction process developed by Frédéric Sauvage (1786–1857). Reference: Musée du Louvre, Paris, 'Diane de Gabies', inv. Ma 529. After a Greek original, traditionally attributed to Praxiteles. France, Second half of the 19th century.
