FIVE 19TH-CENTURY WORKS by Daniello Bartoli SELECTED PROSE, published in Pesaro by Tipografia Nobili, 1837–1838. Complete work in 5 volumes in 16° format. Contemporary half-leather binding with marbled covers. A few scattered foxing spots on the pages, but the volumes are in excellent condition. The work is part of a series of moral, historical, and scientific treatises edited by the Pesaro-based scholar Giuseppe Ignazio Montanari for Tipografia Nobili in Pesaro. Between 1837 and 1838, the Nobili printing house actually published the *Historical Narratives* drawn from the minor works of Father Daniello Bartoli, which are often cataloged or traded on the antiquarian market under the generic title *Selected Prose*. This specific edition from the Marche region is now difficult to find on the collectors’ market in its complete set of 5 volumes. Pp. XXIV, 337 (2); 277; 287 (1); 288; 242.
