THREE SEVENTEENTH-CENTURY WORKS IN 16° by Angiolo Berlendis: POEMS, SONNETS, AND CHAPTERS BY ABBOT ANGIOLO BERLENDIS OF VICENZA, published in Turin, 1784. Complete works in 3 volumes. The texts were compiled and published by Don Gianfrancesco Simon, a native of Alghero. The work is closely linked to Sardinia, as the Vicenza-born abbot Angiolo Berlendis (1738–1793) had moved to the island to teach rhetoric at the University of Sassari, thereby ideally uniting Venetian and Sardinian cultures. Contemporary green half-leather bindings with marbled covers; titles and decorative motifs embossed in gold on the spines. Titles set in raised lettering. Colored edges. Volumes in perfect condition. Full-page engravings by Pietro Visca and Domenico Cagnoni on the front endpapers of both volumes. pp. XII, 190; 206; 352.
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
