The original poster refers to a one-of-a-kind exhibition in which Pirelli S.p.A. displayed its industrial tire molds in direct contrast and dialogue with Giacomo Balla’s “Futurist Gardens” (source: Galleria Naviglio Archives). Within the gallery space, the flowers and geometric sculptures of Balla’s Futurist Gardens were juxtaposed with the geometric and abstract forms imprinted on the Pirelli tire molds. The poster is characterized by the typographic precision typical of Milanese art editions from the late 1960s.
