362 - TWO POSTERS: 1) ROSSELLO, Galleria del Naviglio, Milan – December 1969. Size: XXX cm. Rare. Official poster for a solo exhibition by the Ligurian painter and sculptor Mario Rossello (Savona, 1927 – Milan, 2000), held at the Galleria del Naviglio in Milan from December 5 to 18, 1969, which was then directed by Renato Cardazzo. Rossello focused almost obsessively on the theme of the alienation of contemporary man. His human figures from that period are not realistic: they are thread-like silhouettes, stylized geometric figures, almost “human cells” or spatial figures lost in vivid monochromatic backgrounds. The human figure depicted is one of Mario Rossello’s famous anthropomorphic and mechanical structures, printed in glossy black on a saturated yellow background. Dimensions: 33 x 64 cm. 2) SCANAVINO PALAZZO GRASSI, VENICE INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR THE ARTS AND COSTUME, VENICE, JULY 26–SEPTEMBER 16, 1973. This is an extremely rare original vintage street poster (or one intended for display inside the palace), printed using photolithography or offset in 1973 to promote the event throughout Venice. Dimensions: 69 x 99 cm.
