TWO POSTERS: 1) GIOSETTA FIORONI - IL TEATRINO, 1969 "OH!! WHAT BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERS, MADAMA DORÈ" NAVIGLIOINCONTRO - MILAN, APRIL 1969. This specific vintage poster marks a pivotal moment in Giosetta Fioroni’s career: the transition from her famous “silver” Pop Art paintings to the creation of her iconic Teatrini. The 1969 exhibition at the Galleria del Naviglio officially marked the introduction of the world of childhood, play, and fairy tales as the central theme of her three-dimensional work (source: https://fondazionegiosettafioroni.it/mostre/). Dimensions: 45 x 61 cm. 2) NAVIGLIOVENENZIA JUNE–OCTOBER 1970. Dimensions: 49 x 64 cm. The period indicated on the poster—June–October 1970—coincides exactly with the months of the 35th Venice International Art Biennale. For the occasion, the renowned Galleria del Naviglio in Milan, then directed by Renato Cardazzo, opened its summer venue in Venice called Navigliovenezia, organizing a monumental group exhibition featuring its leading artists. The poster was created as the guiding image and official promotional material for that memorable Venetian event (source: Galleria del Naviglio 2 – Archives). During those years, Mario Ceroli, one of the leading figures of Italian Pop Art and Arte Povera, collaborated extensively with the Naviglio’s exhibitions and publications. Ceroli chose to pay homage to the gallery owner and friend Renato Cardazzo by modeling his face and silhouette using his characteristic overlapping wooden modules—an image that became the very symbol of the 1970 Venetian exhibition season. Extremely rare.
