Limousin enamels, Christ on the Cross in gilded copper with polychrome champlevé enamels. Against a midnight blue, green, yellow, red, and white enameled background, studded with discs, rosettes, and geometric motifs, the crucified Christ stands out in semi-relief, his head bowed and surrounded by a halo. The inscription “IHS” appears in the upper portion. 19th century, in the style of Limousin works from the late 12th and early 13th centuries. 23.5 x 12.5 cm Chips, wear to the gilding, and missing enamel.
