JULIETTE BINOCHE AND LAMBERT WILSON During the filming of Richard Dembo’s movie *L’Instinct de l’ange*, released in 1993. Photo, vintage color print, annotated on the back. 15.8 x 24 cm. Note: Lambert Wilson plays Henry, a young bourgeois man weakened by illness and declared unfit for military service at the start of World War I. Refusing to accept this exclusion, he learns to fly in order to join the air force, whose pilots were then seen as the last knights in a war already dominated by technology and mass production. Juliette Binoche appears in the role of a young widow whom Henry meets. Richard Dembo builds a drama around his hero centered on pushing one’s limits, the fascination with flight, and the quest for a heroic death. Produced in 1992, the film was released in France on January 27, 1993.
