Grete Krämer-Zschäbitz, two depictions of trees, "Baum" of 1976 and bare trees by the water (1904 Braunschweig – 2000 Braunschweig), lithograph on paper, two sheets, each signed "Grete Krämer-Zschäbitz" lower right, good condition, each behind glass, framed, 1) "Baum", monogrammed in the stone lower left, dated (19)76 lower right, titled lower left, a large tree with branching crown, image 32x25 cm (HxW), overall 52.5x40 cm (HxW), 2) group of trees, numbered from the edition, copy 5/10, lower left, bare trees in close view in front of a body of water, a weeping willow in the background, some creasing, image 31.5x24 cm (HxW), overall 50x36.5 cm (HxW). Grete Krämer-Zschäbitz was born in Braunschweig on 3 February 1904 and studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule Braunschweig and in the sculpture class of the Dresden Art Academy. She worked as a sculptor, ceramicist and mosaicist in Braunschweig, Selb and Dresden. In addition to works in clay and soapstone, she created models for bronze casting, portraits, church art as well as mosaic and glass works. The Städtisches Museum Braunschweig holds her bronze "Verängstigte Tiere" of 1964 with the signature "GKZ".
