BMW Z1 luggage set, three pieces, bag, travel bag and garment bag, black with logo print Luggage set BMW Z1, three pieces, two bags and a garment bag, black, outer sides with logo print "BMW Z1", inserts of ribbed material, lining with BMW all-over pattern. Used condition commensurate with age, wear to the outer sides, edges rubbed, one bag stained inside. 1) Garment bag, foldable, with integrated hanger, carrying handle and zip pocket. 2) Bag with zip and two carrying handles, 32x47x12 cm (HxWxD). 3) Travel bag, box-shaped, with zips all round and two carrying handles, 25x42x32 cm (HxWxD). The luggage bears the lettering of the BMW Z1, a roadster developed by BMW Technik GmbH, founded in 1985, under the direction of Ulrich Bez; the design is by Harm Lagaay. The car was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt in September 1987 and built in Munich from March 1989 to June 1991 in exactly 8,000 units. The Z1 is known for its doors, which retract vertically into the sills, and for body panels of plastic. The garment bag and the two travel bags bear the model lettering and thus belong to automobilia, the collectibles relating to the motor car.
