Märklin train sets Z gauge 8138 coal train, 8119 Langenschwalbacher passenger train, original boxes Märklin Z gauge, mini-club, two train sets in original boxes with dark plastic insert, box inscription in each case "märklin" and "mini-club" with article number. 1) Train set 8138, Länderbahn coal train: a green tank locomotive with three coupled wheelsets and red wheels, together with four open freight cars with brakeman's cabin in ochre, dark olive green, reddish brown and light grey. 2) Train set 8119, Langenschwalbacher passenger train of the Royal Prussian Railway Administration: an olive green tank locomotive of the Prussian class T 18 with frame picked out in red, together with four cars with light roofs, two of them two-tone in brown and dark green, one grey and one brown. Played with. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be completely ruled out. Function not tested. The prototype of set 8138 is a train of the Anna colliery in Alsdorf, which belonged to the Eschweiler Bergwerks-Verein. The company had been founded in 1838 as the first Prussian mining joint-stock company and extended its hard coal mining to the Wurm district in 1863 with the purchase of the Anna colliery; the mine remained in operation until 1983 and was for a long time the largest mine of the Aachen coalfield. Märklin offered set 8119 from 1991 to 1994, hauled by the Prussian T 18 number 8401 and made up of a baggage car as well as passenger cars of 2nd to 4th class. The T 18 was the last passenger tank locomotive developed for the Prussian State Railways, built from 1912 to 1927 and classified by the Reichsbahn as class 78. The name "Langenschwalbacher" was borne by short bogie cars developed for the steep and winding spa railway opened in 1889 from Wiesbaden via the Eiserne Hand to Langenschwalbach.
