Märklin locomotives Z gauge 8892 and 8870, Bavarian express locomotives S 3/6 in original boxes Märklin Z gauge, mini-club, locomotives 8892 and 8870, each a steam locomotive with tender of the Bavarian class S 3/6 with wheel arrangement 2'C1' and four-axle tender, in original box with light plastic insert, box inscription "märklin" and "mini-club" with article number. 1) 8892, green locomotive with yellow lining, black frame and green spoked wheels with silver-coloured tyres, number plate "3673" on the boiler, on the tender "K.BAY.STS.B.". 2) 8870, ochre locomotive with black frame, gold-coloured boiler bands, coat of arms on the smokebox and black spoked wheels with silver-coloured tyres, on the cab "3602". Played with. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be completely ruled out. Function not tested. The S 3/6 of the Royal Bavarian State Railways was an express locomotive of the Pacific type with four-cylinder compound engine, built in 159 examples from 1908 to 1931, predominantly by J. A. Maffei in Munich, the last 18 by Henschel in Kassel; with the Reichsbahn it ran as class 18.4 to 18.5. The 3602 left the works in June 1908 as the second engine and kept its ochre primer for the Munich exhibition of 1908 because it could be photographed better that way; on the smokebox it bore the royal coat of arms. After the exhibition it received a green livery. The green model represents the 3673, an S 3/6 built in 1918, which today belongs to the Bavarian Railway Museum in Nördlingen and was in steam on museum runs until 2025.
