Version in silver with blue-red decorative stripes, a black roof and two single-arm pantographs, lettering 'X 995 Amtrak' and 'ASEA'. Played-with condition. The electrics respond (light on, motor hums), however the drive is seized due to the long period of standing (gummed up); servicing and cleaning are imperative. In original packaging, box with storage marks. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be entirely ruled out. The track section shown serves only for presentation. The Amtrak X 995 was a prototype supplied by the Swedish ASEA on the basis of the SJ class Rc, with which Amtrak tested European thyristor technology in the USA. Märklin issued the unusual prototype as a special model, which makes the locomotive appealing to collectors of international electric locomotives.
