The cartons with storage marks. The electrics respond (light on, motor humming), the drive is however seized after long standing (gummed up); servicing and cleaning are essential. The absence of smaller, delicate applied parts cannot be entirely ruled out. The EMD F7 was one of the most-produced main-line diesel locomotives of North America. Märklin produced the US prototype as a double locomotive of powered and unpowered A units, as they frequently ran coupled in American service. The orange and silver livery of the Rio Grande is one of the best-known US colour schemes and makes the pair popular with friends of European railways too.
