Märklin 3146 and 3147 two DB diesel locomotives V 36 and V 100, gauge H0, orig. packaging Two diesel locomotives of the Märklin brand of the German Federal Railway, gauge H0: 1) article number 3146, class V 36. The electrics respond (light on, motor hums), however the drive is seized due to the long period of standing (gummed up); servicing and cleaning are imperative. 2) article number 3147, class V 100 (class 212); the locomotive's function has been tested and is present. Both played-with, each in original packaging, boxes with storage marks. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be entirely ruled out. The track section shown serves only for presentation. The V 36 was a powerful shunting and line diesel locomotive, the V 100 (later class 212) one of the most-built diesel locomotives of the German Federal Railway for light passenger and goods train service. Both classes shaped West German railway operations for decades and are popular prototypes with collectors.
