Märklin 3096 tank locomotive class 86 of the DB in black, gauge H0, orig. packaging Steam tank locomotive of the Märklin brand, article number 3096, class 86 (no. 86 173) of the German Federal Railway, gauge H0. Version in black with red running gear. Played-with condition. The locomotive's function has been tested and is present. In original packaging, box with storage marks. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be entirely ruled out. The track section shown serves only for presentation. Class 86 was a versatile standard tank locomotive for branch line and shunting service, which ran for decades throughout the German network. As one of the best-known standard tank locomotives, class 86 is a popular prototype and the Märklin realisation a common collector's model.
