Märklin H0 tank locomotive 3096 class 86 of the DB with seven goods wagons, probably 1980s Train set, gauge H0, by Märklin, consisting of a black tank locomotive of class 86 of the German Federal Railway, article number 3096, with the running number 86 578, as well as seven two-axle goods wagons. Among the goods wagons, red-brown self-discharging wagons of the type 'Erz IIId' predominate; a further wagon carries a grey bucket superstructure. Played-with condition. The electrics respond (light on, motor hums), however the drive is seized due to the long period of standing (gummed up). Servicing and cleaning are imperative. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be entirely ruled out. Class 86 was a standard tank locomotive for branch line and shunting service, of which around 775 examples were procured from 1928; numerous engines ran until the 1970s. Märklin listed the model under article number 3096. Self-discharging wagons of the 'Erz' type served to transport iron ore to the ironworks and are among the typical goods wagons of epoch III.
