Märklin H0 electric locomotive 3044 EA 800 with five coaches and luggage van, probably 1960s Train set, gauge H0, by Märklin. Red electric locomotive, Märklin type EA 800, article number 3044 (noted by hand on the frame). In addition five two-axle third-class passenger coaches and a luggage van in green livery. Played-with condition, signs of ageing. The locomotive's function has been tested and is present. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be entirely ruled out. The EA 800 is not a real prototype locomotive but a free Märklin design: it goes back to the first H0 electric locomotive that Märklin had in its range from 1949 and was built in various versions and colours. The red variant appeared under article number 3044. The green two-axle passenger coaches and luggage van form a simple local train.
