HAG gauge H0 electric locomotive Ae 8/8 of the BLS brown, double locomotive, orig. packaging Electric locomotive of the Ae 8/8 series of the Bernese Alpine Railway Company Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon (BLS), gauge H0, by the Swiss manufacturer HAG, article number 240. Brown version as a two-part double locomotive of two permanently coupled halves, alternating current three-rail. Played-with condition, the locomotive's function has been tested and is present. With red HAG original packaging (OVP), the box with storage marks. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be entirely ruled out. The track section shown serves only for presentation. The Ae 8/8 was built from 1959 for the Lötschberg mountain line, on which trailing loads of up to 900 tonnes had to be hauled over a gradient of 27 per mille; with around 8,800 hp it was among the most powerful locomotives in Europe. The Swiss manufacturer HAG is known for its durable metal models.
