Märklin gauge 00 (H0) Pullman car 349 E LNER Pullman, green-yellow, tinplate construction, 1937–1939 Pullman car, gauge 00 (H0), by Märklin, article number 349 E, in tinplate construction. Green and yellow livery with the lettering 'LNER Pullman'. Version with claw coupling and cellophane windows. Played-with condition appropriate to age. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be entirely ruled out. The Pullman car 349 E reproduces a British Pullman car of the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) and is among the older tinplate models by Märklin. The version for the British market in ivory and green with the lettering 'LNER', 'PULLMAN' and '349 E' was made from 1937 to 1939 (Koll's Kompaktkatalog Märklin 00/H0, 1983, no. 349 E, variant 1). From 1937 to 1938 there was also the version 349 EB with interior lighting and pick-up. A collector's piece of classic tinplate railways. Recorded in the consignor's collection index since 1982.
