Märklin CS 66/12920 Electric Locomotive Gauge 0 in Green, 1930s to 1950s Gauge 0 electric locomotive by Märklin, model CS 66/12920, in green with a grey roof and red-lined running board. The side walls bear the raised lettering "MÄRKLIN CS", the end faces the designation "CS 66/12920". Five-axle chassis with a 2'B1' wheel arrangement and red spoked wheels, two movable bow-type pantographs on the roof with red-painted roof cabling, two lamps at each end, windows with inserted glazing, side steps and grab rails. Played with, showing signs of age and paint chipping, the paint crazed. The function of the locomotive has not been tested. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be entirely ruled out. 360-degree photo on our website. The 12920 series was Märklin's large gauge 0 main-line generation for 20 volts. Within this family the five-axle CS stands between the smaller two-axle types and the six-axle Crocodile CCS 66/12920. The code number 66 refers to the remote switching system of this model generation; later versions were listed under the code number 70. Models of this size were high-priced flagship items in the Märklin range of the 1930s and are sought after by collectors of classic gauge 0 today.
